There might be tons of questions in your mind when searching properties as many of us have very little idea on where to start. I believe that the utmost concern is sure to be “How to find a suitable and beloved property in Singapore?”.
Therefore, I have listed some of the points to check and must consider before choosing your suitable home.
Here are the 4 important points to take note of:
- Your preferred/ideal location
- Does the property/real estate have the potential to fit your daily/leisure needs?
- Finding a suitable property agent
- Property pricing
Let’s get to it now!
#1 – Your preferred/ideal location
To find a suitable location where you are planning to stay for years to come, choosing a location that meets most of your lifestyle demands will be the priority.
Therefore, here are 2 regions that you would want to consider while choosing:
- Central region, near the business area
- Outside central region, near nature environment
As such, the first point to consider is whether the location suits your convenience.
Here is one example of convenience. Person A has long working hours and does not own a car. Therefore, his priorities might be time and amenities. To ensure that the future home meets his needs, he would prefer his home to be near the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Station or a convenience store.
Another example of convenience is that Person B would like to establish a family. As such, she might consider whether there is any development of schools or facilities such as sports complexes or libraries nearby.
#2 – Does the property/real estate have the potential to meet your daily/leisure needs?
I believe that many buyers are concerned about whether the unit meets your daily needs, be it existing/resale units. Therefore, maybe you can search online and look for more news regarding the possible future growth and development for that particular area. The next question you would probably ask is ‘Where to find?’
So here are some of the websites/organisations/boards you can look at:
These websites are under the Ministry of National Development of the Government of Singapore, which could provide the latest future plans for the development of the areas in Singapore.
Therefore, the release of future development in the area could possibly affect how you choose your property. Do keep a lookout for some examples of future development like Malls, Eldercare HDB, MRT stations, parks, sports complexes, etc.
#3 – Property pricing
Most of us know that the pricing of property changes and is in a constant state of flux. The prices of a property will be hard to gauge. For instance, there are two solutions.
- Do research online (Reading about news on real estate or blogs)
- Use applications to stay connected with the pricing of the properties
The more research you do, the better you can gauge the pricing for your new home. With the use of applications or information taken from reliable websites, you can compare the prices of the real estate of your preferred location.
#4 – Finding a suitable property agent
Finding a suitable property agent can further help boost your property finding experience and increase the speed of finding your ideal home. So, how to find a suitable agent?
You can review their personal or company websites for consistent updates in posting about real estate/properties.
For example, on Facebook, Personal or Organization websites.
